Experience
I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and minor in psychology and theater from Roger Williams University. I am now learning a great deal about animal rehabilitation and educating the public as an intern at the National Marine Life Center. Additionally, I have performed public education through Grassroots Wildlife Conservation. I plan to attend graduate school, either focusing on animal rehabilitation and becoming a veterinary technician or researching marine animal physiology, while also continuing to work with public education. I love learning about the sciences, but I equally love teaching others what I have learned. I tutored chemistry one-on-one for three years in college, and I also worked with a group of students to answer each week's question set. I believe that students need to be given the right tools to be able to learn concepts or come up with answers themselves. If they are given the answers or rely on memorization, they can never truly gain the knowledge needed to problem-solve or build on concepts. I can tutor biology, chemistry, marine biology, and general sciences. When I'm not studying or working, I like to read, play video games, go to the theater, run, and bake.
